Deaf Ethnic Women's Association
DEWA recognises the diverse identities of deaf women from ethnic minority groups and is committed to providing advocacy, support and empowerment. We aim to empower our members and bring them together so they know they are part of a strong, supportive network.

At DEWA, we celebrate the rich diversity of deaf women from ethnic minority backgrounds. Our mission is to provide meaningful advocacy, support, and connection – ensuring every member feels seen, heard, and valued.
Through community, empowerment, and solidarity, we help our members thrive as part of a strong, inclusive network.
Deaf ethnic women can access information and support through DEWA’s resources and services to build their confidence and resilience. We also raise awareness of the unique challenges they face, including language barriers, cultural differences, disability rights and social inclusion.
We advocate to ensure their voices are heard, and that society addresses the issues affecting them. By raising visibility, we contribute to a fairer and more equal society.
